By simply displaying his pride flag on campus, Robert is breaking “The Liberty Way”, a code of conduct that all students are required to follow.
I photographed Robert for the story he was writing exposing the anti-LGBTQ nature of the university which was recently was published by LGBTQ Nation.
Robert’s story outlines how “The Liberty Way” was silently updated days after Thanksgiving break in 2021 and now read to discriminate against queer students which was made possible by a loop hole in Title IX laws under religious exemption.

Darius McGhee continues to rewrite the records book at Liberty University and in the ASUN Conference. The sharp-shooting, 5-foot-9 guard has become one of the most prolific players in program history, and quickly deflects the praise to his teammates for putting him in the position to thrive.
McGhee became the first player in program history to win multiple conference player of the year honors when the ASUN Conference coaches unanimously named him the league’s player of the year for the second consecutive season.
McGhee has set eight single-game and career Liberty records, and set a new ASUN record just last night after scoring his 361st career 3-pointer. He also ranks second in the nation in scoring average at 24.7. ×
